NEUAL Badges
NEUAL runs 2 achievement badge schemes, one for indoors, and one for outdoors. Badges are available from NEUAL, or your club may have a stock.Indoors
The indoors scheme is based on scores achieved shooting the Portsmouth round. Two styles of badge are available, for score levels below 500, and above 500. A badge is earned by scoring above the defined level in student or open competition.Below 500 the badges are coloured, with a simple design featuring the words Portsmouth Round. They come in 6 different colours, each representing a score level:
White - 300 Black - 350 Blue - 400 Red - 425 Orange - 450 Purple - 475
Above 500, the badges use a target design, with the score level achieved in large numbers across the middle. There are 4 different values available, starting at 500, and rising through 525 and 550 to 575.
Outdoors
The outdoors scheme is based on the score achieved over 3 dozen at a set distance. For all distances the score is 216 points (averaging 6 points per arrow), and they are available at the following distances (all shot on 122cm faces):White - 30m Black - 40m Blue - 50m Red - 60m Orange - 70m Purple - 90m
The purple badge is made available to ladies for achieving the score of 250 at 70m in recognition that they do not normally shoot 90m in competition.
